my approach to coaching
I don't offer generic platitudes or clinical, one-size-fits-all checklists. My practice is rooted in trauma-informed, biblical care. This means we look at your story through a lens of deep compassion, psychological safety, and unshakeable scriptural truth.
Whether you are reeling from a sudden tragedy, navigating the delicate dynamics of a blended family, or trying to parent a child through attachment and emotional challenges, my goal is to provide a steady, grounded anchor for you.
together we will
honor the pain
I create a safe, confidential space where you don’t have to “hold it all together.” I’ll help you grieve fully so that you can live fully.
chase the light
Together we will gently look for where God is actively moving and working in your life even in the quietest corners.
build the future
I’ll provide the support, clarity, and practical boundaries to build emotional resilience to step confidently into your next season.

Trauma-informed coaching is an approach that acknowledges the widespread impact of trauma. As your coach, I will help you understand how trauma affects the body, mind, and soul. I will help you reflect on how the truth of your story has affected your life. My focus is to give you a safe space to help you examine what holds you back, and support you in finding a way to move forward. The fact that my coaching is trauma-informed indicates that we examine your story in mindful ways that don’t re-traumatize you.

While both are deeply supportive, they have fundamentally different goals and scopes. Trauma-Informed Coaching focuses on the present and the future and achieving personal or professional goals. It is action-oriented, strengths-based, and forward-looking, helping you navigate how your past affects your current functioning. Therapy focuses on the past and the present, healing psychological wounds, and processing trauma. It is exploratory, diagnostic, focused on symptom reduction. Coaching is a peer-to-peer relationship. Many people choose coaching because they want someone who will walk with them, and often the coach has lived through similar experiences.

No. Professional coaches cannot diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, or treat mental health disorders. If you are experiencing acute trauma symptoms or flashbacks, you will be referred to a licensed therapist.

I will approach our interactions through collaboration, compassion, and curiosity. I prioritize being grounded in the present moment and anchored and connected to the person God created you to be—your authentic self. Trauma is not merely a psychological phenomenon but also a spiritual one—affecting individuals’ relationships with God, themselves, and others. This approach emphasizes the transformative power of God’s love and grace, providing hope and redemption in the midst of suffering.
